How it started:

My name is Tony Yocum.

It was in middle school when I built my first gun rack with my shop teacher and football coach, Dan Boy. I've been in love with woodworking ever since.

After graduating from college I was so poor that I couldn't pay attention.

After I landed my first job I found a great apartment..... the only problem was that there was no furniture. I had a choice to make- Dol use my spare change to buy the cheap furniture that I can afford; or do I buy cheap tools to make quality furniture that will last?

With a refurbished Craftsman circular saw, a belt sander, and a drill I made a table crafted out of shipping pallets, rough-cut 4x4s, and carriage bolts. It was more than enough for people to gather around and share a meal. I later added piano hinges and extensions so more people could find a place at the table. It's still in use today.

It didn't end there though. I continued to fill my apartment by making a coffee table, and even a king-sized canopy water bed that stayed with me well into marriage

Now, thirty something years later, I'm still passionate about woodworking and don't plan on stopping any time soon.
